We all struggle with distraction in life.
I’ve been struggling for a long time. It’s been several months since I’ve made a blog post, and even longer since I’ve actually had the desire to sit down and try to record any music. Praise Yahuah, in spite of all the distractions, the desire to make music has returned. There’s a call on my life that I just can’t run away from. As much as I try to ignore it, it always comes back.
So Praise Yahuah, here I am, finally being obedient. I’m not sharing this because I desire your applause. I’m sharing this because I hope that it will inspire someone out there who is struggling with distractions too.

Here’s a look behind the scenes of the latest song Yahuah placed on my heart. It’s not finished yet, I just started writing it this week, so there will be more to it. But I’m sharing it now as it is, with the hope that it will inspire you to put away all the distractions in your life, and make more space to worship Yahuah too.

My renewed focus on music, and dedicating protected time for worship, is an extension of all that’s been happening in my life for the past couple of months. There’s been a lot of drama that I won’t bring up, so I’ve been working to create more space for peace in my life. Going on walks, observing Yah’s creation, and trying to get an average of 10,000 steps a day. I’ve been asking Yahuah to give me the same energy I put towards my daily walks, to put into my music – the worship He SO deserves. For this album, I just want to sit at the feet of our Master and worship Him!
Some of you have already found my new YouTube channel, “Calm Peaceful Place.” I post there almost daily, it’s not for my music, but it’s truly relaxing for me. It reminds me to keep things light, and not to take myself too seriously. I tend to be very hard on myself, and I want to let that go with this project. So I will keep posting calm peaceful videos there, even as I finish the next album. I want to set up my life so that I can worship Yahuah daily, and create space for peace, and live the set apart life to the fullest, in Spirit and in Truth – no more distractions.
‘But Martha was distracted with much serving, and coming up she said, “Master, are You not concerned that my sister has left me to serve alone? Speak to her then, to help me.”’
‘And יהושע answering, said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many matters,’
‘but one only is necessary, and Miryam has chosen the good portion, which shall not be taken away from her.”’

You already know that story. Let’s be like Miryam.
Choose to focus on worship.
No more distractions.
Leave a comment below if you’re already committed, or recommitting yourself today, to have protected, dedicated, set apart time to worship Yahuah every day. It’s doesn’t have to be for hours at a time. Do what Yah is leading you to do.

Beautiful and well timed. We lost our son in January, my job in June, it has been a year full of distractions. The job market has been unforgiving of our age (ageism) and our faith is being tested and tested. I have found myself over the last week or so trying to get rid of the distractions and things that take time away from Yahuah and time away from whatever it is that He expects of me. I understand what you are going through. May Yah help you. I was baptize Aug 23/26. It rained all day heavily . But Yah opened a window for the baptism. Even the birds and geese came out. After the baptism, the rain came back down heavily. And never stop until I lefted. Once I got home it was not raining anymore. What a blessed day. Thank you Yah. The song is a blessing. Hadarah I needed this. There has been so many distractions – still living at father in laws and to many distractions. This song has helped me put my mind completely on Yah. I needed this reminder! Just listening to your behind-the-scenes filled my heart. Yahuah is truly with you. “We sing praises, we sing praise, we sing praise, singing praises, singing praises; let’s sing praise.” This song came to mind right now. I can’t say that is my favorite because ALL of them are my favorites. Your music is the only worship music that I will listen to. Others praise Yahuah in their music, but it doesn’t differ much from secular music, and it doesn’t resonate with me. Your music brings tears to my eyes when I hear it and sing it. I feel the love and reverence for our Father deep inside in every song. There is nothing like it. All Esteem to Yahuah! The second exodus is near. I can pray that I am worthy enough to pass under the rod. I hope to sing praises with you there.

Yes, Beloved Achoti, I have been distracted with many things my heart health has been in trouble since January 2025 but Abba Yah has been my strength and refuge through it all I finally got the ablation done after being rear ended at the stop light just two weeks after returning to work. I am healing and resting as much as possible these days and eating better and taking good supplements to help my heart pumping function. I appreciate you sharing this sooo much it’s what I needed to at this moment. All praises to our Elohim for his presence in our lives.

I’ve missed you and was looking periodically in my email for any new blogs. I am so happy to see your return. And how appropriate that your blog is on “no more distractions”. For that seems to be my most recent quest in coming out of Babylon. Perhaps we are being summoned by the Father, to a place where we are not distracted and can hear His voice. HalleluYah! I am all for that! For the distractions are relentless.
Every day for the last several weeks, I’ve been committed to making a conscious effort to put away the distractions (i.e. phone, emails, texts, apps, etc. ) and focus on my walk. By putting away or limiting my phone use, has been liberating and has allowed my focus to not be distracted with worthless things.
I am praying for all those on this journey, who are struggling with distractions, that seem to be clouding our eyes and drowning our hearing. Oh Yah, bring us to a place of peace in this world, so that we may hear Your voice and continue to endure and overcome the challenges ahead. Oh how we need YOU now. Our pleas remind me of your beautiful song, Hadarah, “I Need You Now”. “He who keeps Yisrael never sleeps, He who keeps Yisrael never slumbers, He will not let your foot be moved, let Him help you to stand in the Truth!”
