What’s your biggest obstacle to spiritual growth?

What’s your biggest obstacle to spiritual growth?

Hadarah BatYahHey guys, it’s Hadarah.

Most of you have seen my video on Why I’m no longer a Christian. When I recorded that, I never expected the video to get the 22,000 plus views that it currently has. All esteem goes to Yahuah.

When I started Set Apart Heart, it was just a place for me to share my testimony, and the music Yahuah had given me for Yashra’al (Israel). It’s been almost two years of blogging here and there are a lot more people coming into the truth. So many people are finding out who they are though favour of Yahuah. He’s opening people’s eyes and they are longing to reconnect to their Hebrew Roots and follow His ways. HalaluYahuah.

This is a small community but it’s growing. And I REALLY want to take some time out to get to know you. When I first released Yahuah Acoustics Vol.1 there were about 200 people on the mailing list here at Set Apart Heart.

YAHUAH ACOUSTICS vol.2Yahuah Acoustics Vol.2 came out just about a month ago, and at the time I am writing this, there are currently 590 people on the list. All esteem goes to Yahuah’s name. I know there are more people who will come, but before they do, I want to understand how to serve you better.

Your heart is what matters to me the most.

This blog is NOT just about my personal testimony, it’s about you, and your need for spiritual growth. We all have a need for spiritual growth. If we’re not growing, we’ll all be slowly dying. Set Apart Heart is about us growing as a Hebrew community together. So is it ok for me to ask you a personal question, so that I can get to know you more?

I’d love for you to answer the following question about yourself in the comments section below. You can also shoot me an email with the answer (but it REALLY helps me keep every thing more organized if you comment here on the blog.)

So here’s the question to answer in the comments.

What is the biggest obstacle you face when it comes to your spiritual growth?

In other words, what frustrates you the most about your spiritual journey?

Is it finding time to pray?

Is it the fact that you’re alone?

Not enough time to study the scriptures?

No energy to be able to focus in prayer?

No support from your family and friends?

In all honesty, I’ve struggled with ALL of the above. For you, maybe it’s none of the above, and you have some other obstacles that are getting in your way. If you would be so kind as to share that with me in the comments below I will be sure to read what you say. Sharing your thoughts will help us ALL to grow.

Spiritual growthThank you so much (in advance) for being willing to open up. Even if you don’t have much to say, every word you share will be treasured. And if you’re not struggling with your spiritual growth right now, you can share some of the things you wish were happening in your spiritual life that are not. Your honesty makes such a big difference. We’re all human so don’t be afraid. I want to share some of my struggles with you and the journey of spiritual growth that I am on too. You’re not alone in your journey and in addition to the music I share, you can expect me to start sharing more content about my own spiritual life as well. We’ll be growing on this journey together. Heart to heart. We’ll stay set apart.

I look forward to reading your comments below.

So don’t be afraid to share. Here’s the question to ask yourself and answer in the comments section again.

The Name of Yahuah. Three Resources.

The Name of Yahuah. Three Resources.

Hadarah BatYahHi there -it’s me, Hadarah. I have some resources for you about the name of Yahuah. You’re going to see links to three videos below.

Do you remember several months ago when I shared my testimony in a blog post entitled, “Why do we call on The Name?” Since sharing that post, I’ve gotten a lot of follow up questions sent to my email inbox about the name of Yahuah.

People often ask me, How come you feel so sure about the name of Yahuah? How do you know it’s not Yahweh, Jehovah, or one of the other names that people say? I’ll start by saying this. There is a lot of confusion out there. There is also a lot of tradition that can often get in the way of the truth. I always say -I’m not a teacher, but if I know that something is true, I’m happy to share why I believe it. So I’ll share some resources with you below on why I choose to believe our Heavenly Father’s name is Yahuah.

Disclaimer: This is not an attack on any one group or individual. We are all seeking to get to the same place. The Truth. There are many different interpretations of how to pronounce letters and sounds in Hebrew. The most important thing to remember is that Zepheniah 3:9 reminds us that when Yah comes again, He Himself will restore a pure language to His people. All we can do until then is our best. This blog post is simply a way for me to share with people who are curious about why I believe the Father’s name is Yahuah. I hope it helps those who are seeking to know.

OK here are the three videos you can use as a resource.

The first video is from one of the Hebrew teachers I used to learn from many years ago, Medadyahu, from Living Branch Hebrew Assembly. 18-20 mins into the video you’ll see some great resources as he compares pronunciations of the letters in Yahuah’s name inside of the concordance with other words that have the same letters. I hope this helps you on your journey! He mentions several sources. It’s 30 min long. Here’s video 1.

The second video is from Lew White from Torah Institute. He goes into the ancient Hebrew, and where letters like W came from in English too. This is actually a video that I saw early on in my journey and it was so simple that it convinced me the most out of all the videos that I had seen at that time. This video is about 10 min long. Enjoy watching Video 2.

And finally, I wanted to share a more current video with you from Truth Unedited. It’s 30 min long. Here he explains “The Ineffible Name” doctrine and why people even say “THE LORD” today. It’s not just out of reverence or respect. If you’d like to hear some of the historical info he presents, Here’s the link to video 3.

The Name YHUH YHWH YahuahI pray these videos will be a spring board for you on your spiritual journey. I pray that you will use them to do more research and to continue to seek after the truth.

If you have already seen these videos – you can still share this post with a friend. There are so many people who still don’t know the truth about Yahuah’s Name. And yes, it matters.

If you are Buddhist, you call on Buddha, if you’re Hindi, you call on Krishna, if you’re Muslim you call on Allah, and no you would not use another name.

Micah 4:5 speaks on this idea. It’s one of my fave texts.

“For all the peoples walk, each one in the name of his mighty one, but We walk in The Name of Yahuah our Elohim forever and ever.” Micah 4:5
You’re welcome to share your comments and feedback in the comments below. And if you missed the music from my last blog post click here to enjoy it now, Praise be to Yahuah. Let’s all keep looking up!!

Why do we call on The Name?

Why do we call on The Name?

Hadarah BatYahPassover is a week away and I’m sitting here today thinking to myself – wow. SO MUCH has changed in my life since I met Yahuah. It was two years ago that I took off to go to an organic farm, longing for a deeper connection with my Creator. I just knew I had to get away. I knew there was more, much more than what the church had to offer. Seeds had been planted in my life all throughout my childhood, but it wasn’t until I made the decision to step outside of the hustle and bustle of life and the loud opinions of those around me, that I was able to truly hear my Maker’s voice and follow His lead.

In the Spring of 2013 I came to accept the name of our Heavenly Father, Yahuah, and his son Yahusha, our Messiah. I committed myself not only to keep Shabbat as I had been doing all my life, but also to let go of pagan holidays like Christmas and Easter etc, and to learn more about the feasts in Leviticus 23 and the significance they still hold today. YHUH YHWH Yahuah These wonderful appointed times of our Creator help us remember, not only of what He has done for our ancestors in the past, but also who He is, and what he will do for us, His special chosen people, as we approach the end of time as we know it. If you’re reading this and you’ve never heard of the feasts days, and you are curious to learn more about them, leave a comment on this blog post and let me know.

Many people say that Christians are the chosen people. They say if you’re not a Christian then you can’t be saved. The Jews also say that they are the chosen people. Some even go as far as believing that salvation comes by your bloodline and others somehow believe it has to do with the colour of your skin! I disagree with all of the above. There’s is no man or religion that can determine your salvation. Yahuah is salvation (Psalms 27:1) And so, we must be in Him. His people are called by His name. His people seek His face. His people choose to turn from their wicked ways and literally follow Him.

truth or lie opposite signsJust like there are signs on the road that show you what street you are on, and what direction you are headed in, there are signs of the covenant. They show you who you are in a relationship with, and whether or not you are living your life in a way that is pleasing to The Father. Most people are concerned about NOT getting the mark of the beast. A lot of those same people have forgotten about the mark or sign that sets them apart as People. If you don’t want the mark of the beast, understand the mark of Yahuah. Learn about the everlasting covenant, and the signs of the covenant. The Sabbat is a sign, The Feasts are a sign, and The Father’s Name is also a sign. There are other signs but these are great places to start.

And No, it is not the signs that save us, but the signs show we are being saved. We must never think it is our religion or our actions save us. The truth is when we accept the free gift of salvation, we will have the desire to accept all, be all, and to do all that the Saviour is calling us to.

“If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Why Does the Creator’s name  matter?

Let’s see what the scriptures have to say. Click the boxes below to read the texts.

Psalms 69:35,36

“For Alahiym (Elohim) will save Zion and will build the cities of Yahudah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession. The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.” Psalms 69:35,36

Psalms 119:132

“Turn to me and show me favour, according to your right ruling, toward those who love Your Name.” Psalms 119:132

Isaiah 56:6-7

“Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to Yahuah, to serve Him, and to love the name of Yahuah, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and are holding onto My covenant – them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let them rejoice in my house of prayer. Their ascending offerings, and their slaughterings are accepted on my slaughter-place, for my house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.” Isaiah 56:6-7

Revelation 14:1

“And I looked and saw a Lamb standing on Mount Tsiyon, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s Name written upon their foreheads.” Revelation 14:1

The scriptures above show that whether you are a foreigner or of the literal seed of Abraham, it is The Father’s NAME that sets you apart. It is those who love The Name who will be delivered and protected. Yes the name does matter. We can not say we love the Father and then continue to ignore His Name.  The scripture teaches us the significance of loving not only Yahuah Himself, but also His name and everything that it represents.

What if I use the title LORD to worship Him?

Hebrew papyrusFor many years I believed that it was OK for me to say Lord in reference to my Creator, after all, the word “Lord” is all throughout the Bible I was reading. But even inside of the Bible, the KJV and others, in the front introductory pages, or in the dictionary in the back -depending on the version, it clearly states that LORD is actually a substitution for the four Hebrew letters of The Father’s name YHUH or YHWH which when you study those letters in the original Hebrew language, you learn the name sounds like “Yahuah” in english. (If you want to learn more about this, leave a comment on the blog and let me know.) The bottom line is, The Father’s personal name was removed from the scriptures nearly 7 thousand times. And in the latter days, His name will be restored. (Zeph 3:9)

Colorful pastel easter eggs on white wooden backgroundThe more I focused on the truth, the more I came to realize that, just like how all the pagan holidays – Christmas and Easter etc – were all distracting me from the valuable gifts that come from celebrating Yahuah’s Feasts Days…. There are pagan influences all throughout our language, and those influences can distract and take away from the gift of being able to understand more of the truth, including Yahuah’s personal name. Deuteronomy 28 teaches us that there are good things that will come to us when we walk in the truth. It was time for me to make a change.

I’ll never forget the day when it hit me loud and clear. Lord =Baal. Baal is a false god. And I asked myself, Why am I calling on the name of a false god??? I was on blueletterbible.com using the Strong’s concordance. I still use that site for a lot of my study today. I clicked on Ba’al in that scripture passage below. And I saw the meaning …

“And it shall be, in that day,” declares Yahuah, that you call Me, ‘My Husband,’ and no longer call me ‘My Ba’al.’ And I shall remove the names of the other Ba’als from her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.” Hosea 2:16-17

The word H1180 Ba’aliy= my lord

And it comes from

H1167 Ba’al = owner, husband, lord

See Also H1168

Ba’al =lord

It occurs 80 times in 68 verses in the Hebrew concordance of the KJV. Here are a few examples for further study….

  • Hosea 2:13
  • Judges 2:11-13; 3:7
  • 1 Samuel 7:4
  • 1 Kings 16:31; 18:18-26; 22:53
  • Jeremiah 12:16

I’ll type out a few more for you here below so you can see the verses right here and now.

Jeremiah 23:27

“Which they think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten My name for Ba’al.”

The scripture actually says… “their fathers have forgotten My name for Ba’al”

WOW. That’s exactly what’s happening today.

Ba’al=lord and you can look it up for yourself, and lord is what we have put in place of The Father’s name.

• Need a couple more examples? Click the boxes below.

Jeremiah 32:29

“They have offered insense into Ba’al, and poured out drink offerings into other gods to provoke me to anger.”

Zeph 1:4

“I will also stretch out mine hand upon Yahudah, and upon all the inhabitants of Yahrushalaiym, and I will cut off the remnant of Ba’al from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with priests”

The word Ba’al in all of those texts is literally defined as lord. If the word lord is so closely connected to Ba’al and the worship of false deities, how can we choose to continue to use this word in place of the name of the One True Mighty One? He is Creator of the Universe, and if I say He is my personal friend, yet I call Him by the name of a false mighty one…. No. He is Yahuah. And if I love Him, I will love His Name, seek the truth and all that His name represents.

It is after the truth was revealed, and through much study and prayer, that I knew I could not go back to the way my life was before. I could not sit down in the pews of the church as they called on “The Lord” and embraced more and more pagan ways and pagan holy days.

“For all the peoples walk, each one in the name of his mighty one, but We walk in the Name of Yahuah our Elohim forever and ever.” Micah 4:5

There are so many people who I know are still searching for the truth. For my friends who are still calling on “God” and “Lord” etc, I pray this will lead you back to the scriptures. Do you want to be in a covenant with The Lord or with Yahuah? Your Creator has a personal name, and His name is a sign. Whether you agree or disagree with the way it’s pronounced, we can know without a doubt, His name is not “THE LORD.” I believe His name is Yahuah. Truly His name is just the beginning. There is so much more to come.

Feel free to leave a comment on this blog post and let me know your thoughts. You can also share scriptures that will encourage the body. The Feasts Days of Yahuah are approaching. Here’s to the pursuit of truth. Share this blog post with a friend who calls on “The Lord.” It’s possible that no one else has told them the truth.

What would YOU do? Forgiveness.

What would YOU do? Forgiveness.

Hadarah BatYah Special GiftWelcome to a brand new series here on the Set Apart Heart Blog called: “What would YOU do?” In this series we’ll talk about real life situations that occur, and how you would react to them. The goal is to be able to open up and share about difficult topics, and prepare our hearts and minds for how to deal with them – always keeping scripture at the forefront of our hearts. So welcome to the first instalment of “What would YOU do”.  I’ll be alternating between posts of this new series and the acoustic set apart music posts you know and love. I hope you’ll find this series to be helpful and practical – something that you can relate to in real life for your spiritual growth. OK so let’s get to it.

Imagine for a moment you are out on a walk enjoying some time with a person that you love and cherish. Take just a moment to picture that person in your mind right now…..

Seemingly out of no where, a complete stranger walks up to your loved one – and shoots them. Your loved one winds up dead.

How would you feel about that situation? How would you react?

Painful portraitIf you’re as human as I am, you would probably be feeling very angry about something like that. Forgiveness would likely be that farthest thing from your mind, and you would probably be feeling a lot of mixed emotion, confusion, and pain.

I pray that you have never nor will ever have to be in the midst of a situation like the one described above, but if it did happen, do you think Yahuah would expect you to forgive the stranger who shot and killed your loved one?

Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

How would you be able to chew and swallow the verse below?

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither shall your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14,15”

Do you think it’s fair that Yahuah asks you to forgive in order to be forgiven?

woman with a serious faceWhat does it really mean to forgive?

Does it mean you forget everything that happened?

Is the slate wiped clean for the person who committed the sin?

Or does it simply mean that you let go of the pain?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this difficult subject in the comments below.  But first let’s take a quick look at the definition for the word “Forgive” in Hebrew.

The word “Forgive” in Hebrew is “Nasa” Strong’s H5375 and it actually means:

To lift… To bare up… To carry… To take.

Look at this verse where Moses is speaking to Yahuah about his people.

“Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin—; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.” Exodus 32:32

Now tell me the truth…. Can you imagine lifting, baring up, or carrying the person’s fault who took a gun and shot a person that you love? Would you be able to do that? Does Yahuah expect us to do that? Isn’t that what Yahusha our Messiah did for us?

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” Luke 23:34

Forgiveness is not an easy thing- not an easy thing at all. But the reality is, if this situation has never happened to you, it is happening to others, and sadly it could happen to you. So tell me, what would you do? I’d love to hear your thoughts, ideas, or scriptures on how you think you would act or react to this kind of situation in the comments below. Let’s talk.
